I was born and raised in Colombia, a country that I love to talk about and represent everywhere I go. After graduating from high school, I studied Civil Engineering for years but was unsatisfied with my path and left my degree unfinished. Next, I worked at various desk jobs and call centers, survived a worldwide pandemic, and lived far from my beloved Colombia; only then did I finally understand that my artistic side was screaming to be free. Since the first day, I had taken photos with a Canon Rebel T4i on automatic, and I realized I wanted to do it “the right way” or at least be aware that I was intentionally breaking the rules. This was something that drew me to the foggy city of San Francisco to study photography at City College of San Francisco, where I learned and experimented with different techniques and styles until I found my own. Today, I am mainly dedicated to creating colorful images that tell stories and to exploring the complex web of emotions, narratives, and identities that define us as individuals. Through photography, I inquire into colors, culture, emotions, dreams, and reality; creating a world where all this magically coexists.
